I'm just imagining Sevika charging into battle not knowing where her girls are. she hears whispers from the battlefield that Isha is dead and that Jinx is gone. taken. captured. surrendered. she doesn't want to accept either. she almost refuses. and it's in the back of her mind that she has to live so she can find her girls, and at the very least, remember them.

and she almost dies. she thinks that there might not be anyone to remember them. to find them.

and then she doesn't. she doesn't die. and one thing leads to another, and she's on the council. and....

she still doesn't know what happened to them.

and then Vi, the girl who, justifiably, hates her guts, comes back. and the look on her face all She needs to know Jinx is gone. but she can't accept it. she can't.

she demands to know what happened, in a clipped, gruff manner, not displaying much care, but her eyes are teary and her gut is churning.... and Vi just says they're gone.

and all Sevika can do is whisper "... both?"

and she doesn't wait for an answer. the face is enough. "how?".

the answer kills her.

she walks away. murmurs an apology over her shoulder.

she doesn't know what to do with the feeling in her chest. her fingers trace over the carving in her arm.

I made these diagrams to advertise a passion project of mine I've named Angel of Three. It's essentially a big DSMP rewrite/AU plot summary but with a heavy focus on themes of religion. I made this for my own sake as a sort of love letter to these characters (always characters, not CCs), but if you've ever liked the way I interpret the DSMP characters in my fanart, it would mean the world to me if you would check this story out. setting pessimism aside to daydream about my ideal bucktommy makeup scenario and i just... keep oscillating between buck extending an olive branch and tommy reaching out first. there's merit in both. yes i'd love for buck to discard passivity and fight for this salvageable relationship — for buck to look tommy straight in the eyes and tell him that his sharp edges and his vulnerable insides don't make him any less deserving of love. that he's not blinded by the excitement of novelty or misguided admiration — even without the full picture, buck has seen enough pieces of the puzzle that makes up tommy's whole to know that he loves the entirety of him, unspoken faults and past sins included. that buck can't guarantee forever but he sure as hell can try to build the sturdy foundation of a shared life based on the hope for more. that sometimes you just luck out on the first draw and there's nothing wrong with good fortune.

but it would also be extremely healing if tommy knocked on buck's door to chase after his own second chance. to say "i want you more than i'm scared of hurting" when buck asks him what's changed in 4 months — because tommy would rather live with scars than be haunted by regrets and what-ifs. because buck is worth the risk of never recovering from having loved him

what was the point of lila thinking home was a feeling she didn't deserve and could never earn until she found diego. what was the point of them finding deep, meaningful love in each other. what was the point of lila opening her heart and confessing that all she really wanted was a family with him.

what was the point of developing diego and lila over two seasons, creating such a beautiful, chaotic bond, just to destroy it for no reason.

I am so so happy that Marisha added the "keyleth tenses up" when Vax took her hand. She hasn't seen him in nearly 30 years. THIRTY YEARS.

Keyleth is angry. She can't move on. Vax sends her a raven every day. He misses her but he is preoccupied with a job that warps his sense of time. Keyleth experiences time like any other mortal world, day by day.

She loves him, but its taking up the same space as her grief, resentment, and sorrow for him. It is a difficult for her. These feelings have been rolling around inside her for a few decades and now she is asked to "pretend like everything is normal" for one night. (I love you Vex I know you are just happy to see your brother again.)

And I am not saying that Vax is all in the wrong here. Liam made it clear that his sense of time is not normal. He might not feel like its been as long, so the awkwardness of just seeing your previous partner for the first time in forever isn't there. He doesn't feel the rift, or at least not nearly as greatly as Keyleth does. So he takes her hand, because he loves her and he misses her.

And she tenses up because what the fuck is she supposed to do now?
